History Behind the Coin

Horse racing was an Olympic event of great prestige and intense competition.  It was a great honor of Philip II of Macedon to gain entry to the games, since they were open only to Greeks.  Prior to that time, true Macedonians were considered by other Greeks as barbarians.  It was an even greater honor for Philip’s horses to win the prize.  This coin is authentic and set in 22 Karat Gold.  The necklace is a handmade Fine Silver chain with 22 Karat Gold terminals.  This 22 Karat Gold clasp is set with Alexandrite accent stones on each side of it.
